Oitylo sits on the west coast of the Mani, eleven kilometres from Areopolis. However you come down, the last stretch runs along the bay.

From Athens

Take the Attiki Odos the whole way along, then follow the signs for Corinth and join the national road. Carry on towards Tripoli, past it towards Sparta, then south through Gythio and Areopolis. Between Areopolis and Oitylo, once you are past the middle of the bay, turn off the main road at the third Karavostasi exit.

From Patras

Follow the national road towards Pyrgos and keep heading south. Near Kalo Nero, turn off and pick up the signs for Kalamata. From Kalamata it is another 70 kilometres: follow the signs for Areopolis, and you will see Oitylo signposted before you reach it.

There are flights from Athens down to Kalamata, which is the closest airport to this stretch of the Mani. From there you will want a car for the last leg along the coast.
